Sitiveni Bavico Tuilevuka, 71, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Oceanside, California. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Sitiveni lived a life marked by service, faith, and unwavering love for his family and community.
Born on May 15, 1953, in Yasawa, Saqani, Cakaudrove, Fiji, Sitiveni was the son of Neomai Laudamu and Setareki Vuakatagane. He pursued his education at Fulton College before embarking on a distinguished career with the Fiji Police Force. Over the course of 33 years of dedicated service, he upheld justice with integrity and commitment.
In addition to his law enforcement career, Sitiveni extended his service beyond national borders when he joined the United Nations Peace Corps in 2000. His contributions reflected a deep sense of duty not only to his homeland but also to the global community.
A man of profound faith, Sitiveni was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He held numerous callings within both stake and ward leadership throughout his life. Upon retirement from the police force, he continued his spiritual journey by serving a full-time LDS Service Mission-a testament to his enduring devotion to God and community.
Sitiveni found immense joy in spending time with his family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Diana Tuilevuka; their children: Colin Tuilevuka, Alipate Tuilevuka, Setareki Tuilevuka, John Tuilevuka, and Agnes Muamoholeva. His role as a grandfather brought him particular delight-he cherished playing with his grandchildren and watching them grow.
An avid rugby enthusiast, Sitiveni enjoyed both playing and watching the sport. He also played in the Sukuna bowl several times representing the Police Force along side many prominent rugby players. He especially loved cheering on his children during their athletic pursuits. Whether engaged in thoughtful conversations about church doctrine or politics, enjoying a game of cards, or simply taking drives around town, Sitiveni embraced life's simple pleasures with warmth and sincerity.
A funeral service honoring Sitiveni's life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM located at 1122 Grand Avenue in
Provo, Utah (84604).
Sitiveni Bavico Tuilevuka will be remembered for his loving nature, patient spirit, and steadfast faith. May his memory bring comfort to all who knew him.
