Skip is the father of Tracy Brown, Renee McMahon and Jesse Adams.
Memories can be shared with the family at www.nodawayvalleyfuneralhome.com. Arrangements were entrusted to the Nodaway Valley Funeral Home of Clarinda.
Kenneth 'Skip' Kyle Adams was born on May 16, 1952, to Kenneth D. Adams and Enid C. Adams. He graduated from South Page High School with the class of 1970. He married his high school sweet-heart, Deborah Osborn on September 4th, 1970. She tragically passed away on September 18, 1971. He cherished her memory everyday for the remainder of his life.
Skip held various jobs but primarily could be found alongside his father as they owned and operated Adams Construction, a very successful bulldozing and tiling business. They ran the business until Kenneth's health declined. Skip then worked at NSK to provide for his family for over 20 years. It was there that he made two of his best life-long friends, Dan Myers and Justin Berringer.
Skip was an amazing dad and took the responsibility of raising his two daughters from his second marriage, Tracy and Renee, on his own. He was instrumental in shaping them into the amazing women and mothers they are today. Skip met Cindy Wyatt and they were married in 1987. Together they added a son, Jesse, and raised their three children in Braddyville. Skip eventually retired and at that time his life revolved around his grandchildren and attending their activities.
Those that knew Skip, and were lucky enough to get past his hard-shell exterior, very quickly realized he was a one-of-a-kind man. Skip loved life, trying new food, spending time with his family, and being outdoors, especially mowing the yard and relaxing by the pool with a Busch Light. He enjoyed being able to ride his Harley with the open road in front of him. Football was one of his passions and would cheer on the Oklahoma Sooners and Green Bay Packers.
Skip was preceded in death by his first wife Deborah (Osborn) Adams, parents, brother Ronald Adams, sister Karilyn Bielema, nephew Ronnie Adams, along with many other loved ones.
Left to cherish Skip's memory are his children, Tracy Brown (fiancé Vince Moser) of Clarinda, Renee McMahon of Omaha and Jesse Adams of Braddyville; grandchildren, Saige Brown (Ian Hedlund), Tadyn Brown, Cian McMahon and Wyatt Adams, Cindy Adams (Jesse's mother), and former son-in-law Tim McMahon; along with other extended relatives and numerous friends.
We would like to thank those who supported us and our dad over the last few months. There were several of you that went above and beyond including our employers, staff and residents of Clarhaven, and Debbie Baldwin. His passing will leave an unfillable void. He is already greatly missed.
