Sobra A. Peto

Sobra A. Peto, 62, of Port Clinton, OH passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky, Ohio. She was born October 22, 1962 in Port Clinton, Ohio the daughter of Nicholas and Phyllis Joan (Ward) Peto. She was a 1980 graduate of Port Clinton High School and a 1985 graduate of Bowling Green State University. Sobra was a sales associate and previously the department manager of hardware at Walmart in Port Clinton. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton. She continued her mothers work in resale at Gifts & More at Fort Firelands and then at Lake Erie Gifts & Dcor in Sandusky. She was a very generous person and loved food and looking up new recipes.
She is survived by her aunts: Kathryn Kopchak, Charlotte Lauer, Cynthia Kokinda and uncle: Steven Peto all of Port Clinton, OH and several cousins in Ohio and Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; aunt: Oaklee Newberry; uncles Wayne, Gene, and G. W. Ward.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Monday, August 25, 2025 at St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH 43452 with visitation at the church on Monday morning from 10:00 am until the time of the service. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery, Port Clinton, OH. Memorial contributions may be given to St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH 43452.
