As I cross-stitched your name on the memorial that I am doing for all of the victims, I prayed for you and your family. Please know that your death was not in vain. We will always remember. God Bless.

Mr. Numata always quietly sat at his desk working a long hours. Once in a while, he cracked a very dry joke to make us laugh, but down in side, he was really a sweet man.

He was very responsible, and always stayed in the office longer than any of us including that morning.

Mrs. Numata, I am very sorry for your loss.

Peace.

My heart aches with each story I read of the victims lost in the attacks of 9/11.

You do not know me, but yesterday at the Episcopal cathedral here in Birmingham, as I attended memorial services for those lost a year ago, I was introduced to Siochi.

I hope that if any of Siochi's loved ones read this, that you find at least some small degree of comfort in knowing that as well as those people you know, countless others of us whom you do not know are lifting you in prayer.

In the tradition of my own faith, I offered the name of Siochi Numata, that light perpetual shine upon him.

I continue to pray that God grant strength, courage and guidance to all who loved this man who worked hard, loved his family and who's dreams were cut short by the conflicts of this age.

I am so sorry for your loss, and the loss of everyone who never got to know Soichi. I have read his biography, and while I did not know him personally, I know he was a good man. I am proud and saddened to represent him in a performance of the Mozart REQUIEM, and for that brief time, my voice will sound for him. God bless his family.

I did not know your husband/father well as i had only worked for Fui Bank for a short time but just wanted to let you know that I always thought that he was a gentleman. That is not a word used too lightly in business circles.

I am sorry for your loss.

We are very sorry for your loss of Soichi. Our hearts cry with you.

America Cries

We see your sorrow-

and our hearts cry....

We can not erase your pain

but you do not have to face the anguish alone-for we-

-the American people-

are beside you.

We so desperately want to have the touch that brings you comfort,

the strength that gives you courage,

and the words to lighten your spirits.

And when we are left speechless

may the silence of our nation weave love into your hearts

to ease your sorrow.

May you find healing through our nation's strength as we-

-the American people-

face this difficult time together. Our hearts are with you. Teresa Jahn
