Solidea Carol "Tati" Ditty October 27, 1931 – August 17, 2025 Solidea Carol "Tati" Ditty, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on August 17, 2025, leaving behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and love. Carol was born October 27, 1931, in California to Erminia Francisca Dalcin Foresto and Girolamo Foresto. The youngest of five sisters, she was the first native-born Californian in her family. Her life was full of passion, adventure, and devotion to the people she loved. She married the love of her life, Angelo Reynolds Ditty Jr., a proud United States Armed Forces veteran. Together they built a family and a life grounded in love, loyalty, and shared joy. Carol's enthusiasm for life was infectious. An avid golfer, she taught her family how to play and never missed a chance to cheer for her favorite professional golfer, Jordan Spieth. She was also an extraordinary in-home chef-her signature spaghetti recipe came from her sister Tillie, and she delighted guests with her unique "Better than Sex Cake," a light angel food cake with a custard center, green whipped cream, and sweet white angel food cake. She loved the open road, and whether behind the wheel of a twin-turbo car or giving directions from the passenger seat, she preferred her travels fast-paced and full of energy. Road trips with her were as much about the laughter and conversation as the destination itself. Carol was deeply devoted to her family, cherishing time spent with her children whether in person or over the phone. She was also passionate about her political beliefs, proudly supporting President Donald J. Trump and working tirelessly to share her views-going door to door in her community and even campaigning to recall California's governor Gavin Newsom. She is survived by her sons, Angelo Reynolds Ditty III (Sara Lisa) of Canton, GA, and Michael Jerome Ditty (Caroline) of Canton, GA; her daughter, Carol Jean Nikoukary (Gary) of St. Simons Island, GA; her sister, Lea Wells of San Carlos, CA; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her cousin Sue Giaccone; her goddaughter Gina Solidea Sharma; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Reynolds Ditty Jr.; and her sisters, Tillie Rivera, Gemma Ferrario, and Frasia Southworth. Services are scheduled for 1:30PM Monday September 15, 2025 in the Georgia National Cemetery. Carol will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her fearless opinions, her love of family, and the many ways she brought people together-whether on the golf course, around the dinner table, or on the open road.
