Sondra Kuntz Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by North Dallas Funeral Home & Cremation Services on Sep. 10, 2025.
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Sondra Adrian Kuntz.

Sandy was born on September 16th, 1933, in Butler, Pennsylvania and spent her childhood in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. Sandy met the love of her life, Sidney Kuntz in 1958. Once married, Sidney and Sandy began their life together in Weirton, West Virginia. In 1976, they moved their family to Dallas, Texas to open an ice cream parlor, Zip Z.

Sandy had an immense passion for Judaism, Israel, family and of course, football! She prioritized bringing people together and welcoming people into her life. She will always be remembered for hosting heartfelt Passover seders and Rosh Hashana dinners, organizing gatherings at the Olive Garden and creating countless opportunities to bring her children and grandchildren together.

She expressed her passion for Judaism and Israel through her involvement at the JCC. Some of her greatest pleasures were chairing the Senior Expo, being a grandparent volunteer in the preschool and supporting the Jewish War Veterans.

Sandy brought a special joy to every community she joined. She loved connecting with every single person which led her to affectionately be known as the "mayor" in many of those places. We will always remember her tenacity, passion and devotion to others and her community. May her memory always be a blessing.

Sandy is survived by her 3 children, Annette Goldstein, Elisa Prager and Michael Kuntz and wife, Julie Kuntz. Her grandchildren Michal, Gila (spouse Jon) and Ari Goldstein, Aidan and Brady Kuntz and Jackie Prager, Steven Prager (spouse Lillia Terkel) and great-grandson Ray Terkel-Prager.
