Sonia Brambier

Phoenix - Sonia Brambier, adored for her warm and outgoing personality, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona. She was born Sonia Lewis, the daughter of a coal miner, on May 27, 1945, in the Rhondda Valley of South Wales, Great Britain. Sonia's early years were marked by joyful times in her homeland, where she attended Porth County School for Girls and developed a passion for tennis.

At age 19, Sonia's spirit of adventure led her across the ocean to the United States, where she found Michael, her husband of 58 years, and where she built a life of meaningful connections and professional triumphs. For 40 years she dedicated herself to the real estate industry in central New Jersey.

Sonia carried the spirit of her Welsh roots across the ocean and also became involved in the traditions of Judaism. Her Seders and her cooking were greatly appreciated by many friends and relatives throughout the years.

In addition to her husband Michael, she leaves her son Jason and granddaughter Alissa, of Phoenix, Arizona, and her sisters Kay and Gaynor of Australia.
