Sonia and I worked as nursing cohorts for many years in dialysis as a clinical nurse manager; she was my preceptor tasked with showing me the ropes of being a clinical nurse manager because she was one of the best ever to do it. Each day, she would take time out of her busy schedule and sit with me, showing, teaching, and mentoring me, and for that, I am forever grateful. Sonia was one of the best, as I would often tell her each time we met. When I found out I was moving to Nashville, I knew she would take over after I stepped down at my facility, she explained that she was going to apply, and told me to keep it to myself (laughing) and as a friend and fellow nurse manager, I told her mums the word. I knew she would go on to do great things, and as a Nurse Practitioner, she did just that, she loved her clients and her staff, and was always your biggest cheerleader and advocate no matter what. I will definitely miss her and her funny laugh; still in shock that she is not with us, but God needed her more; he never makes mistakes. Love you, my sister friend, rest easy!

We was just kids and knowing each other, you had Jasmine and later on we married. You blessed us with our daughter Kylie and I got to spend 25 years with you, I love you and will never forget you. I will always hold the memories of you and I and our little family together forever. God has another Angel.

Working with Sonia at Baptist when she was our PCT in 3IN and then after she became a RN. Later I would see her at the Farmers Market. She had a great smile and was always kind. She will be missed by many.
