In Loving Memory of Sonia Martinez Greaux

On November 24, 2025, surrounded by love and prayer, Sonia Martinez Greaux went home to be with her Lord and to be reunited with her beloved husband, Roland H. Greaux, and her parents, Paula and Hermenegildo Martinez. She was born on March 9, 1948 and lived a life marked by faith, courage, kindness, and a deep love for her family.

Sonia was incredibly smart and a lifelong learner. She was an avid reader of faith inspired books and health and wellness, always seeking wisdom, understanding, and ways to better care for others. She was an entrepreneur at heart. She began her career working for the Governor of St. Thomas, then became a real estate agent, eventually opening and running her own real estate business. She also devoted many years to helping her husband run Lilburn Foreign Car Repairs, supporting him as owner and operator and contributing to the family business with the same dedication and strength that she brought to every role in her life. Her work ethic, integrity, and determination inspired everyone around her.

Sonia was small in stature but mighty in presence. Her strength was quiet yet powerful, her faith unshakable, and her love steady and true. She adored her husband, Roland, with her whole heart, and together they built a life grounded in devotion, unity, and unwavering commitment. Even after his passing, she carried his memory with tenderness and spoke of him with a love that never dimmed. Above all, she loved the Lord and lived her life with a deep, sincere faith that guided her every step. Those who knew her felt her grace, her warmth, and the comforting peace she carried wherever she went.

Above all, Sonia was a devoted wife, mother, Nana, sister, and friend. Her greatest joy was her family. She created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love, and she never stopped praying for and cheering on the people she loved.

Sonia is lovingly survived by her daughter, Melissa Greaux Cannon; her son, Roland H. Greaux II and his wife Amber Greaux; her grandchildren, Dylan H. White and Brayden H. White; Dylan's partner Caitlin McHan and Brayden's partner Lauren Wood; and her great grandson, Oakland H. White, who brought her so much joy.

She is also survived by her sister Luz A. Morón and her husband Robert G. Morón; nephews Robert G. Morón II and Christopher G. Morón; her sister Paula M. Buice and her husband David Buice; her brother Gildo A. Martinez and his wife Connie Martinez; and her nieces Andrea N. Buice and Ashlee Labarron; as well as extended family and dear friends who will miss her deeply.

Sonia's legacy is one of faith, strength, and love. Those who were blessed to know her will carry her memory in their hearts forever.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 1, 2025 in the Monroe Stateroom of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Costa officiating. Entombment will follow at Hill Haven Memory Gardens, 490 Edmondson Road, Monroe, GA. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
