Born and raised in South River, Sonia devoted her life to her cherished family. She was a strong, resilient, and loving woman whose kindness touched everyone who knew her. Before her retirement, she worked as a supervisor at PNC Bank in East Brunswick, where she was admired for her dedication and work ethic. Sonia was also a faithful member of Sts. Peter & Paul Church in South River where she was a member of the St. Ann's Guild and the Altar Society.
Sonia was predeceased by her parents, Sergei and Barbara, her husband Bernard, and her siblings Nicholas, Arthur, Archie, Alexander, Nina, Florence, and Eugenia.
She is survived by her devoted niece Judith; her loving son Robert and daughter-in-law Katherine; granddaughters Cayley Anderson and her husband Bryce, and Jana; her beloved daughter and son-in-law; two granddaughters; a grandson-in-law; three adored great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, from 9:00am-10:00am, at Sts. Peter & Paul Church in South River. A funeral service will take place at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
Funeral services are entrusted to Maliszewski Funeral Home 218 Whitehead Ave, South River.
