Sonia Watson Obituary
March 2, 1966 – December 31, 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sonia Watson, who departed this life at her home on December 31st, 2024. Sonia was born on March 2, 1966, in Toledo, Ohio, to her proud parents, Melva and Issac Watson. She attended TSU.
Sonia was a devoted mother to her children, Jasmine and Issac Watson, and a loving grandmother to her cherished grandsons, Jaylen and Christopher (CJ). She took immense pride in her family and poured her heart into creating a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Sonia is survived by her beloved mother, Melva; her brother, Devon; her niece, Jamie; sister, Shirley Holmes; aunts, Pauline and Brenda; and her cousins, Gloria Francis, Katina, Richard Rowe, and Rudy C. She also leaves behind countless friends and extended family who were touched by her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering strength.
Sonia's legacy is one of compassion and selflessness. Her radiant spirit and nurturing heart will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Sonia's life will be held Troy B Smith Funeral Home 9013 Scott St Houston, Tx 77051 on Saturday January 11th, 2025 at 12:30pm. Repast will be at the Domino Club located at 16030 Blue ridge Rd Mo City 77489 starting at 3:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to honor her memory and share stories of the joy she brought to those around her.
Her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her love will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Rest in peace, Sonia. You will be forever missed and always remembered.

It was so nice to know Sonia when we were growing up. My dad and her mom were friends since they were little and I have fond memories of us playing in Toledo when we came to visit. She showed me Lightening Bugs which we didn´t get in Toronto where I am from. We were penpals until she went to college and we wrote about typical teen life and learned the differences and similarities in Canada and the US. Rest In Peace.
