My childhood best friend, Sonja. You are remembered and loved! It's so hard to believe that you're gone- we just reconnected! I will always remember the times we walked around in the snow, went to the corner gas station for chicken soup', holding that little transistor radio and listened to music on WLS or WCFL. I remember walking up the back stairs to your house. Cindy left a couple of months before you- maybe you're hanging out now, walking those streets of gold and joining the angels, singing those beautiful worship songs to our loving Heavenly Father. Love you. Jim' (that's what you called me)

Dear Helen and Family,
I was deeply saddened at Sonja's passing, and feel like part of my life is gone with her. First, Cindy earlier this year, and now Sonj. So much of my childhood is filled with sweet memories of Sonja and me in school, or out (like the times we played hooky or walking around Forest Park, holding the transistor radio listening to WCFL or WLS and singing). Sonja was kind and tender hearted, and she will always be one of my bestest friends! I'm so thankful that God put her in my life. And also, that we reconnected after all these years! Your family was close to us, and we may not have survived without you all. I'm so sorry for your loss. May you find comfort in Jesus and our Heavenly Father at this time. Love always.
Sincerely,
Jimmie
