Sonny Lee White was born on May 25, 1974, in St. Louis, Missouri.

He spent many years driving a semi-truck across the United States and loved sharing stories from his travels. Though he retired from trucking in 2011 due to health issues, the memories of those years remained a great source of joy to him.

Sonny loved the outdoors: gardening, hunting, camping, and especially fishing with his grandchildren.

One of his greatest joys of his life came in 2023, when he was reunited with his son, Anthony White, Anthony's wife, Melissa, as well as welcoming three more grandchildren into his life.

Sonny also had an ear for music. He enjoyed rhythms from every era and spent time DJing for fun. Sonny loved a good celebration and especially looked forward to leading the family's annual New Year's Eve bingo game.

He peacefully passed away at home on August 14, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

Sonny is survived by his wife, Sharon White of Forsyth; son, Anthony and Melissa White of Park Hills, Missouri; and five stepchildren: Clea and Dustan Ingenthron of Forsyth, Missouri, Raelien and David Clark of Rockaway Beach, Missouri, Lorretta and Mark Block of Forsyth, Missouri, Jessie Refsland of Forsyth, Missouri, and Noah Refsland of Forsyth, Missouri. He is also survived by two sisters: Marilyn and Ed Call of Branson, Missouri, and Pam Bridges of Kissee Mills, Missouri; three brothers: Rick and Cathey Buff of Fredericktown, Missouri, Mike and Noelle Parker of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Tommy and Kristina Parker of Post Falls, Idaho; eleven grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Sonny's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Calvary Full Gospel Church, 1281 Sundown Lane, Forsyth, Missouri. Arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Cremations of the Ozarks.
