Sophie Lee Krauss

Newmarket – Sophie Lee Krauss, 20, of Newmarket and Exeter passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on June 10, 2025.
Born July 3, 2004 in Portsmouth, she was the beloved daughter of Douglas C. Krauss and Kristen (Steeves) Bradford.
Sophie lead an abundant life. She was embraced by everyone who met her and she helped to change lives with laughter and smiles.
She attended the Newmarket elementary school, Newmarket Jr.Sr. High school, then went on to The Kevin O'Grady school in Beverly, MA as a day student.
As a little girl She played for the Challengers softball team, and was an ambassador for Children's Hospital at Dartmouth. Her favorite past times included camping, boating, swimming, listening to music especially Frank Sinatra, and most importantly being with family and friends.
Sophie was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Paul Steeves.
Survivors include her mother, Kristen Bradford and her husband Mark of Exeter; her father, Douglas Krauss of Newmarket; sister Lindsey Krauss, her maternal grandmother, Terrie Steeves of Exeter; her paternal grandmother, Carol McDole and her husband Michael of Swansey, MA; her paternal grandfather Douglas Krauss of Lady Lake, FL; aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, June 21st from 1 – 4 p.m. at Kent & Pelczar Funeral Home & Crematory, 77 Exeter Road (Route 108), Newmarket.
