Soukchay Khounxay

On December 21, 2023, Soukchay Khounxay, also known as Jay or Ai Jai, passed away surrounded by his loving family members. A beloved husband of 33 years to wife Manivanh "Molly", he taught his family how to live with grace and goodness, continuing to inspire and teach them how to live life with acceptance and generosity until his final moments.
Soukchay was known for his loving heart, helpful hand, talented at home Chef, a natural gardener, passionate musician, and "Mr. Fix-It" of all things. Beloved by everyone who crossed paths with him, a language barrier never mattered because his goodness of spirit shown through as he welcomed everyone in.
Born in the rural village of Don Kho, Laos, the third youngest of 11 siblings. He immigrated to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for a better opportunity for himself and his family. Soukchay worked in culinary, he was machinist for many years, owned his commercial cleaning services and very active member in the Philadelphia Lao Community.
In 1990, in Philadelphia is where he met and married his wife, Manivanh. They decided to move to Horsham where they raised their three sons, Bounetavy, Intirabouth, and Nrinh or as most of us know them by their middle names: Darian, Dylan, and Devin.
Soukchay lived life with internalized philosophies such as, focusing on the present; living without fear of the future; and believing in the reciprocal nature of goodness and respect.
He is survived by his wife Manivanh, three sons: Darian, Dylan and Devin; grandson, Christopher; his siblings; Khonsavanh, Saysamone, Chansamouth, Southanou, and Sivay Virasack; and all of their children.
Services for Soukchay will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023 from 2 to 4pm at Huff and Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Avenue, Lansdale PA, 19446. A ceremonial cremation will follow the services.
