SSG (Ret.) Settles was a native of McCormick County and a member of Second Providence Baptist Church. He was a retired United States Army Veteran.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol (Fredrick) Settles-Harris and Yvonne (Ronald) Settles-Johnson; a sister, Elizabeth Polly; seven grandchildren, one great grandchild. a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Second Providence Baptist Church with the Rev., Dr. Albert M. James officiating. Interment will follow, with full military honors, at Springfield AME Church, McCormick, SC. Viewing will be held from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Professional Services are under the care of G.L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary-North Augusta.
