What a terrible loss. I only knew of her on TV but, she sure had some wisdom and I appreciated what she had to say.

I had the honor of guiding Stacey in the writing of her Ph.D dissertation. She was my last such student at the University of Minnesota. Afterwards we became good friends. As all know, she was kind, generous, welcoming to all, committed to her church, students, and especially to her family. Her house overflowed with students she was housing for one reason or another. She loved taking groups of students abroad to enjoy new experiences. When Rosalind joined their family, she and Steve embraced the local Chinese community. My sympathies to Steve and Rosie for their tragic loss.
