Stacie Johnson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Officer Funeral Home, PC - East Saint Louis on Oct. 19, 2022.
LIFE STORY of
REVEREND DR. STACIE EUGENIA JOHNSON
STACIE'S life journey began on March 6, 1966 in the city of East Saint Louis, Illinois to the union of Clifford W. Sr. and Diane Turner (nee' Brown). She was preceded in death by: both parents; her husband, Carnell Johnson Sr.; and brother, Clifford Turner, Jr.
STACIE'S formal education was completed in East St. Louis School District 189. She attended Park Elementary, Clark Junior High and Lincoln Senior High School. She later furthered her studies at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, receiving her Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral Degree from Anchorage Theological Seminary and Bible Institute, Texarkana, Arkansas.
STACIE confessed her hope in Christ Jesus and was baptized at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church in 1975. STACIE loved her church family and knew they loved her too.
STACIE met the love of her life, Carnell in October 2001, they united as one on August 31, 2002.
STACIE never made life about her, she was always helping others. She was known for making others smile, because she loved to see people happy because she was such a happy person. She enjoyed spending time with family and especially her grandchildren. Making friends wherever she went was her lot. She was a stranger to no one but found great purpose sharing in the success of others' joy. She was authentically and wholeheartedly there for those in her life.
STACIE worked for Children Center for the Behavior. At the time of her passing, she was employed by American Bottoms for 30 years as a Customer Service Representative.
STACIE answered the call of her Master, the death angel came with chilly fingers and sealed the lips of our dear, faithful beloved one on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. Even though STACIE'S parents, husband and brother preceded her in death, she was never alone,
She leaves to cherish her memory: her loving, caring and devoted children, Lamar Sr. (Elizabeth), Lamond Sr. (Devin), Latoya (Montez Sr.), Brandione, Shanelle, Dranae (Roger), Carnell Jr. and Joshua; sisters, Darnita (Maurice) and Cheryl Deneane; brothers, Arnold (Joy) and Cory (Shannon); sisters-in-law, Zina (Donna), Stephanie (Tim), Katrina (Chris), Selina, and Carlina (Matthew); 24 grandchildren; nine nephews; seven nieces; special aunt, Deloris; special friends, Angela and Karen; special god-mothers; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
