For Stan...

WEEP NOT FOR ME

Do not weep for me when I no longer dwell among the wonders of the earth; for my larger self is free, and my soul rejoices on the other side of pain...on the other side of darkness.

Do not weep for me, for I am a ray of sunshine that touches your skin, a tropical breeze upon your face, the hush of joy within your heart and the innocence of babes in mothers arms.

I am the hope in a darkened night. And, in your hour of need, I will be there to comfort you. I will share your tears, your joys, your fears, your disappointments and your triumphs.

Do not weep for me, for I am cradled
in the arms of God. I walk with the angels, and hear the music beyond the stars.

Do not weep for me, for I am within you;
I am peace, love, I am a soft wind that caresses the flowers. I am the calm that follows a raging storm. I am an autumns leaf that floats among the garden of God, and I am pure white snow that softly falls upon your hand.

Do not weep for me, for I shall never die, as long as you remember me...
with a smile and a sigh.

Whenever I would see Stan's name in the opening credits of a film, I knew that we (the audience) were in for a real treat. The way that he brought nightmarish creatures like Pumpkinhead to life not only had me believing in them while they were on the screen, but also kept me looking over my shoulders on the way home. May his work continue to entertain as well as inspire.

I send my deepest sympathy to the family and many friends of Stan Winston.Hollywood has lost another icon and shining star.Stan was a genius at the creative art of special effects.We have so many memories and examples of his major talent and contributions to the motion picture industry.People like Stan come along once in a lifetime.Films are classics and this world is a better place because Stan Winston was in it,and made it entertaining with his many creations.There is a heaven,and Stan is there,a young man again making movie magic to entertain God and his Angels.I hope future artists can learn much from Stan's work.He has much to teach them from his multi talented career.God bless you Stan and the many delightful hours of entertainment you gave us all through the years.

Truly a man with great talent, and an even greater heart. To his family and friends, may you find comfort in the promise of Isaiah 33:24 "And no resident will say: “I am sick." May the hope of seeing your loved one again, as promised in John 5:28-29, in perfect health, comfort your hearts during this difficult time.
