Stanley Gibson, of Hamburg, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2025, at the Laurel Center. He was 91 years old.
Born on February 15, 1934, in Orwin, Pennsylvania, Stanley was the youngest of ten children born to Gertrude (Nelson) and James Gibson. In 1955, Stanley enlisted in the United States Army, proudly serving his country during the Korean War.
Following his military service, he continued his public service by working in government maintenance. Throughout his career, he held a variety of roles, but his true passion was carpentry.
In his leisure time, Stanley enjoyed visiting the Hollywood Casino, where he especially liked playing the Cashman slot machines.
Stanley is survived by his daughter, Claudia Stouffer (Mark), and his son, Bradley Gibson (Faye). He leaves behind a legacy through his grandchildren-one granddaughter and two grandsons-two great-grandsons, one great-granddaughter, and one great-great-grandson. He is also survived by his devoted companion, Leona Yeager, whose presence brought him great comfort and joy.
After private services, Stanley will be laid to rest at Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
