Stanley Holt Harris

Stanley Holt Harris went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 6, 2025. Holt was born October 26, 1946, in Smyrna, Tennessee. He is preceded in death by his parents, Ora Fly Harris and Walter Harris; brother, Ray Harris; and sister, Virginia Harris. Holt graduated from Smyrna High School in 1964. He then went on to serve his country for 2 years in the United States Army. He owned and operated H&W Plumbing with his best friend Wayne Whidby after becoming a Master Plumber. He was an avid NASCAR and Football fan, book reader, and loved his Westerns.

He married the love of his life, Barbara Deason Harris. They were married for 57 years, sharing many adventures throughout their life. Together they share a blessed family with a daughter, Cheryl; granddaughter, Taylor; and great-grandson and sidekick, Hayden Stanley Johnson, his name's sake. After marrying Barbara, the Deason family became his family, gaining 4 sisters and a brother. He is also survived by cousin, Linda Thrasher of Smyrna.

The funeral service will be officiated by Wayne Cornwell. Family and friends, Wayne Whidby, Scott Jackson, Eddie Johnson, Thomas Thrasher, Jeff Hayes, and Bo Ford will be the pallbearers for the funeral.

Holt was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ in Smyrna, TN. He was baptized on April 23, 2009, by Houston Bynum.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to Highland Heights Meals on Wheels program or the Lawrence Gardner fund.

Funeral services will be conducted by Bro. Wayne Cornwell on Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, WALLER CHAPEL, 7281 Nolensville Road, Nolensville, TN. Interment with Military Honors at Nolensville Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Waller Chapel, 615-776-7009.
