Stanley "DALE" Hodges passed away peacefully at his home in the Henleyfield Community of Carriere, Mississippi on November 21, 2025. He is a native of Denham Springs, Louisiana.
He leaves behind a legacy forged in fire, sweat, and the steady rhythm of a life lived close to the land. He grew up knowing early that real work came with sparks on your sleeves and dirt on your shoes. He worked as a welder for over 30 years. From fence lines to heavy equipment, from small fixes to projects that will outlast us all, his craftsmanship stayed true. When he wasn't welding, he was in the hay field. He had a knack for farming. There was a certain peace he found in a field of fresh cut hay. He rallied tradition and family.
He is survived by his wife Debra Carroll Hodges, a son Jamie (Joni) Hodges, two daughters Allison Patterson and Marsha (Lance) Stewart.
He is survived by eight grandchildren: Alandra (Trent) Wilson, Alonnah Patterson, Drayson Patterson, Keaton Landry, Karagan Landry, Kayleigh Majors, Carson Hodges, and McKenzie Hodges.
He is survived by his sister Druscilla (Bill) Merrick and two nephews Matthew (Debbie) Merrick and Michael Merrick.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley E. Hodges and Ruth Summers Hodges of Denham Springs, Louisiana.
A Memorial Service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church (Crossroads Community) at 7451 Hwy. 43 North, Poplarville, Mississippi 39470 on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1 pm with fellowship following the service.
