Stanley J Lepkowski

Stanley J. Lepkowski, 93, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at New Life Hospice Center, Lorain after a short illness. He was born on August 23, 1919 in Lorain and lived in the area his entire life. Stanley served in WWII as a Master Sergeant in the United States Army. He earned his Bachelor's degree in accounting from Fenn College, Cleveland and retired as Treasurer/Comptroller of American Shipbuilding Company in 1984. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, and traveling in his retirement years. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia (nee Stelmack) Lepkowski; son, William (Beth) Lepkowski; daughters, Janice (Jim) Bodnar and Linda (Bruce) Hambly; grandchildren: Adam Kane and Hayley and Justin Lepkowski; sister, Mary Jean Smith; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam and Regina (nee Pilawski) Lepkowski; and four brothers, Teddy, Johnny, Frank, and George. A private service will be held for the immediate family at Dombrowski-Riddle Funeral Home, Lorain with burial at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
