Stanley D. Mack

Mack, Stanley D. Age 84 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away peacefully on November 5, 2007. He was born May 14, 1923 in Kansas City, MO and served in the U.S. Army during WWII before beginning his broadcasting career as an on-air radio personality with WHB of the Todd Storz Stations. In June of 1957 he moved to Minneapolis, MN with his family and joined WDGY. Stanley had a unique personality throughout his life and was known as "The Ole Head Rascal" & "The Man of a Thousand Voices"...an entertainer and dialectician par excellence in Radio's Top 40's era. He made Minnesota his home for 40 years before retiring from 25 years in sales at KDWB Radio. In 1989 he came to visit his daughter in Las Vegas and renewed his on-air career with KORK Radio. Stanley is survived by his four children, Audrey Dempsey & family of Las Vegas, NV; Andrew Mack & family of Clearwater, MN; Craig Mack of Minnetonka, MN; Lecia Schlesinger & family of Chino Hills, CA; and his former wife, Diane Mack of Minneapolis, MN. A memorial service to celebrate Stanley's Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday November 11, 2007 at SGI-USA in Las Vegas located at 1201 S. Jones Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89146; & in Mpls. TBA.
