Stanley Mozingo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Freeman Funeral Home - Waynesboro Chapel - Waynesboro on Jan. 2, 2026.
Mr. Stanley "Stan" "Pops" Lane Mozingo, Sr., 68, of Waynesboro, MS passed from this life Thursday, January 1, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Waynesboro, MS on Sunday, August 25, 1957, to the late Con D. Mozingo and Grace Jones. He was a member of Big Rock Methodist Church. He retired after working 40 years as a Rigger/Millwright in Industrial Construction.
Stan loved to be on a tractor. Most of all he loved to spend time with his grandkids teaching them the tricks of the trade. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He was a man that would do without to see someone else have something. He was a great father and friend and could make anyone laugh. No matter what time it was, if you called him, he was always going to be there. He was the hardest working man, always willing to show up the youngsters. According to him the old way was the BEST WAY!!
Mr. Mozingo is preceded in death by his parents, Con D. Mozingo and Grace Jones; grandparents, Harvey and Ruby Mozingo; half-brother, Ronnie Randall. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Vicki Mozingo of Waynesboro, MS; son, Lane Mozingo (Jailyn) of Waynesboro, MS; two daughters, Candace McMichael (Devin) of Waynesboro, MS and Raegan Mozingo of Cookeville, TN; sister, Teressia Meredith of Bainbridge, GA; half-brother, Johnnie Wimberly; ten grandchildren, Riley, Bradyn, Rohan, Sawyer, Paisley, Landry, Luca, Katie Grace, Kennedy, and Kaden.
Visitation for Mr. Mozingo will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Monday, January 5, 2026, at Big Rock Methodist Church, Waynesboro, MS. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 5, 2026, at Big Rock Methodist Church in Waynesboro, MS with Rev. Curvin Covington officiating. Interment will be in Big Rock Cemetery in Waynesboro, MS. Pallbearers are Riley McMichael, Bradyn McMichael, Justin Thompson, Ryan Pitts, Brad Anderson, and Clint Chapman.
