Stanley Zdan Sr., age 93, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
Stanley was born April 24, 1932, in St. Louis, Missouri, Stan was a devoted husband and family man. He shared 75 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Ann Irene Zdan, whom he married at the age of 18. Together, they built a loving life centered on faith and family.
Stan worked as an architectural draftsman and was a business owner, co-owning Zdan and Holst and Cisne Iron Works. Stan had a deep passion for gardening, especially growing vegetables and flowers, and he was a man of faith whose beliefs guided his life.
He was preceded in death by his children, Stanley Zdan Jr. and Donna Marie Zdan. He is survived by four grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
Stanley Zdan Sr. will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his faith, and the life he lovingly shared with his wife.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Hosselton-Meridith Funeral Home in Cisne, Illinois. A private Celebration of Life will be held with family.
Memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
