Stella Franklin Boyd, 76, passed away on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 2, 1948, to the late Horace and Rebecca Mark Bolden in May's Lick, Kentucky.
Stella was a homemaker who proudly raised seven children that were her greatest accomplishment and joy in her life. She had an immense passion and expertise when it came to cooking. Stella demonstrated her affection by meticulously preparing meals for others. She enjoyed being in the kitchen, watching the shopping network on TV, and spending time with her three grandchildren, whom she adored. Stella was a strong-willed woman, who worked hard and loved with all her heart. She was a chef, teacher, nurse, counselor, and a wonderful friend who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left here to carry on her loving legacy are her children, Shawn Boyd, Tori Boyd, Lamont (Myrissa) Boyd, Kiethan (Jonathan) Boyd, Darcia (Rodney) Boyd, Sherri Boyd, Sherman Boyd; grandchildren, Shannon, Sharon, Arabella; sisters, Mary Katherine Ramsey, Matti Chadwell, Rebecca Horton, several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Stella was predeceased by her parents, Horace and Rebecca Bolden, as well as her beloved husband, James E. Boyd.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Palmer Funeral Home & Crematory from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Stella will be laid to rest in the May's Lick Cemetery.
