Stella Smith, 82, a resident of Tahlequah, OK., passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. She was born on December 9, 1943 in McKinney, TX., to the late Thomas Alton Bentley and Thesper Nadine (Spearman) Bentley.
There will be a private burial at Fort Gibson VA Cemetery.
Stella enjoyed crocheting and reading books, she especially enjoyed going to the casino and playing Red Ball.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Abe Smith, and a brother, Happy Jack Bentley.
She is survived by her children, Janette Smith and James Smith and wife Kelsie, and her grandchildren: Jennifer Leeann, Megan Smith-Cook and husband Scotty, Rowan Smith, and Jaxon Smith, along with her great-grandchildren, Audrie Garcia, Averie Garcia, Tucker Cook, Kaelynn Smith, Brentlee Garcia, Trysten Blair, and Chano Thomas Garcia, Jr., who will carry on her legacy.
