Stella Wakshinsky

Stella Wakshinsky is and always will be alive in our hearts and minds; however, her soul has journeyed to Heaven to be reunited with her beloved husband, parents, family and friends who died before she took her last breath at 96 years.

While we grieve her loss here on earth, we celebrate her long and meaningful life. Stella was not only an instrument of God's work, but she was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and mentor to many.

Stella will be forever cherished and remembered by her children, Billy and Donna, and by their spouses Angela and Peter. She will also be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Josh, Dawn, and Alex, and their spouses; Stefanie, David and Quinn. Most of all, she will be missed by her great-grandchildren; Max, Gabe, Huxley and Frankie, but we know God will allow her to whisper words of inspiration into their little ears as they grow up.

During her lifetime Stella collected more memories and experiences than worldly possessions, learning a love for travel, cooking, dancing, joke-telling and sharing those passions with her family first-hand.

Visitation will be held at Roslyn Heights Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 18th from 2-8PM. Funeral Mass will be 9:30AM Thursday, March 19th at St. Peter of Alcantara. Interment to follow Nassau Knolls Cemetery.
