Stephanie's life began with a courageous fight as she was born five weeks early via C-section at Utah Valley Hospital, weighing only 3.5 lbs. She spent her first three weeks in the NICU, learning to suck and gain weight. From the very start, she was a brave little girl.
Throughout her life, Stephanie was full of heart and loved her family and friends deeply. She had a profound concern for the world and wished she could change many things. Stephanie felt passionately about fairness and justice, always rooting for the underdog. She believed that all people should have freedom and equal rights and was an advocate for women's rights, LGBTQ rights, justice, and love.
Stephanie had a quirky sense of humor and found joy in expressing herself through her writing, gaming, and spending time at her favorite coffee shop with friends. Her Legendarium Dungeons & Dragons friends meant the world to her, and she cherished her online friendships and being part of a warm and welcoming gaming community. She loved going to her D&D group with her beloved niece Ava.
An avid reader of fantasy and sci-fi fiction, Stephanie was also a talented creative writer and poet. Additionally, Stephanie loved being in nature, hiking, camping, and fishing. She cared deeply about sustainability and justice for all. Stephanie adored animals and was a devoted mama to her cat, Max.
She is survived by her parents, Ken and Beverly; her older siblings Jenn, Jeff, Kate, Scott, and Jon; and her sisters-in-law Emma, Julia, and Nancy. Stephanie was also fortunate to have many nieces and nephews-Ava, Alex, Ethan, Arabella, Edith, Camden, Cason, Nathaniel, and Kadeen-who all loved her dearly. She had numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved her very much.
Stephanie's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Her spirit, warmth, and compassion touched many lives, and she will be deeply missed.
