Stephanie Polk Miesmer

Stephanie Polk Miesmer, 65, of Summerville, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, December 5, 2025.

Stephanie was born December 17, 1959 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Oswald Clayton Polk, Sr. and the late Ruth Moss Polk. She retired with the United States Postal Service as a rural letter carrier and enjoyed her retirement days bonding with her loved ones. Stephanie was a dedicated and beloved mother and grandmother. She was a friend to many and renowned for her cooking/baking skills by all. She also had great talent with singing and her crafts, such as scrapbooking and photograph collages.

She is survived by her son, Matthew Miesmer (Marci); her daughter, Natalie Hastings (Lucas); grandchildren; her dog, Brooklyn Miesmer; former spouse/life long friend, Kevin G. Miesmer; sister, Pamela Droste; sister, Margaret Tabor (Harold); sister, Octavia Coon (Bob); and a large extended family.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryle Mothershed (Raymond); brother, O.C. Polk, Jr.; brother, James Polk (Karen); brother, William Polk; and Brother-In-Law, Ryan Droste.
