Stephanie Lynn (Royalty) Adair, 49, of Indianapolis passed away on November 24, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Stephanie was born on September 30, 1974, in Beech Grove, Indiana to her parents Steven Royalty and Linda Cogil. Stephanie obtained a bachelor’s degree from Indiana Business College and worked as a Scheduling Coordinator and Administrator for Indiana Nephrology and Internal Medicine. When thinking of Stephanie, you probably remember her deep love for animals. Whether it be stray neighborhood cats or her beloved boxers, they were adored and cared for by her. Stephanie took pride in always looking her best, she was meticulous and naturally beautiful. Her smile lit up any room that she was in, and her laugh was infectious. Stephanie was at peace when she was in the sun and on the water—specifically her home away from home, Racoon Lake, where her family gathered together. They spent countless days, boating and soaking up the sun, creating many wonderful memories that will forever be cherished. On October 1, 2004, Stephanie married the love of her life, Brian Adair. They spent 19 years of marriage together and were truly a perfect pair. Stephanie loved taking trips, arts, and was the best gift giver. Her and her beloved sister, Melinda, loved shopping and going out to eat together. Stephanie absolutely adored her nieces and nephews. To them she was affectionately known as “Aunt Nene” and she loved each of them as if they were her own. Stephanie undoubtedly left this world too soon, but it is apparent she left her mark on this world. Her beautiful memory will live on in the hearts of all those she has touched.
Stephanie is survived by her loving husband, Brian Adair; her mother, Linda Cogil (James); her sister, Melinda (Chris) Meyer; her nieces and nephews, Christopher Meyer, Blaine Meyer, Zachary Adair, Ariel Adair, and Kasseday Adair; her Maternal grandmother, Esther Goodblood; her parents-in-law, John and Donna Adair; her sister-in-law, Laura Adair (Tim Adams); and her Fur babies, Roaxanne and Athena.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her father, Steven Royalty and her Paternal grandparents, Sadie, and Spence Moss.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 12noon-4PM with a memorial service starting at 4PM. All will be held at Flanner Buchanan—Washington Park East, 10722 E. Washington St. Indianapolis, Indiana, 46229.
