Stephen Baffour Antwi

Stephen Baffour Antwi, aka Nana Baffour aka Fololo 65, passed away on September 21st at the Middlesex Hospital in Middletown, Connecticut.
Son of Opanyin Kojo Krah and Abena Amankwah of blessed memory; he was born on 31st March 1959, in Kumasi. Ashanti Region of Ghana. He was named after Adumhene Nana Baffour who was the uncle of his maternal grandfather. He started primary and middle school at Asem Boys school. He went to Opoku Ware Secondary School in Kumasi and Tema Secondary School for Sixth form and entered the University of Ghana shortly thereafter.
He went to Germany for a short time and moved to the United States.
He was preceded to heaven by his father in 1985 and mother in 2018. He is survived by his wife, Nana Brago and his children Dominique Antwi, Stephen Antwi and Ama Antwi. His siblings are William Antwi, Faustina Antwi, Victoria Antwi and Kwame Antwi as well as many, many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Steve, as we affectionately called him, was a deeply beloved father, uncle, cousin, brother, and friend. His passing was sudden and unexpected but quick.
While we mourn the death of our beloved father and husband, we know many have lost a dear friend, a fellow Christian traveler and a loved one in him. He has been a rock to many, a master at humor and witty timing to others, a stalwart for what is good and honest and of good repute and even a glorious pain in the neck when it comes to doing it right, to what I'm sure is a small select few (because no matter what happened between you in your lives, once you were marked as important to him, he'd be by your side if you needed him). There was so much more to him than just husband and dad, though to us that was his greatest role! He was also a friend, a classmate, the chairman, a colleague, a cousin, brother, a stand-in paternal figure to the fatherless, a confidant... the list goes on.
It was his wish that we reminisce and smile together during this time.
His family will receive friends on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 6-9 p.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, 9 a.m., at the Wapping Community Church, 1790 Ellington Rd., South Windsor.
