Stephen Loy "Steve" Beard Jr.

Stephen "Steve" Loy Beard, Jr., age 59, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away at 12:45 am on November 10, 2024 at Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo, Ohio, after fighting a courageous battle against lung cancer.
Steve was the son, of the late Stephen L. Beard, Sr. and Carol (Sloan) Beard. He is survived by his brother, Brian Beard of Bairdstown, and sister, Katina (Matt) Neuser of Toledo; a daughter, McKenzie Beard Houck; three grandchildren; aunt, Joyce (Tom) Miller of Bloomdale; and numerous nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and cousins.
Steve was a heavy equipment operator by trade and a long-time member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), local 1393. He genuinely loved his job! He was the first to take his rig into disaster zones, working tirelessly to restore power for those in need.
In his free time, Steve enjoyed fishing and researching politics. He loved his country and was a true patriot. He wore his heart on his sleeve and offered help to those in need. His loss will leave a huge void in the lives of those whom he touched so generously.
Though his final days were difficult, he is now at peace, reunited with his parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 21, 2024, at SMITH-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, North Baltimore, where visitation will be held 2 hours (11 a.m. - 1 p.m.) prior to the service. Pastor Bill Cook officiating.
