Stephen Eugene Boling, 69, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on August 31, 2025. He was born on July 7, 1956, in Nuremberg, Germany.

Steve spent his early years in Germany, as well as other places that his father was stationed. He attended Mililani High School in Hawaii before proudly serving in the United States Army for over five years. His military service took him to a variety of posts including Oakland, California; Fort Benning, Georgia; Panama; the Philippines; and back to Hawaii.

Following his time in the Army, Steve enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as an over-the-road truck driver for more than 30 years. Outside of work, he had a deep love for the outdoors-fishing, boating, camping, and gardening were some of his favorite pastimes. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, listening to a wide range of music, and engaging in various hobbies. He loved animals and had many pets over the years: rats, birds, cats, goats, and dogs. He was a wild bird whisperer and could coax them onto his finger.

Steve is survived by his loving wife, Sue; sisters, Sandi and Patty, daughters, Jennifer and Stephenie; grandchildren, Libby and Gavin; and great-grandchildren, Avery, Waylon, and Hazel, and lifelong friends Jack, Thomas and Marc. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
