So sad to hear. So many memories, of the all times we spent together at our Grandparents house. Even though life took us in different directions, I always knew I had a best friend, in Steve.
RIP My Cousin, My Friend.

I cannot express my prayers enough to Steve's family. The lose of a family member is hard enough but to go through two in such a short time must be unbearable.
I knew Steve when he was younger as my neighbor. He was always kind & polite to everyone. And from what I have read, he continued that into his adult life.
Although we all grew up and went on with our own lives, our families remained close. We all asked about each other whenever we would meet. I know he loved his family and his job.
Prayers to his children and entire family.

I knew Steve as an Auxiliary member at Auglaize Sheriff's Office. I was a dispatcher and when he was there in the office, if we got busy he would help answer phones. You could count on him to help if you asked him. He will be missed!

Steve was one of my best friends, growing up, and we had so many memorable times. We met in elementary school, and became close friends. He got me to join a Saturday morning bowling league when we were still very young; we found and created mischief together riding our bikes around Wapak; were in band together, and we shared a Driver's Ed car together. As people do, we got a little busier in High School with our individual responsibilities, but we made sure to find time to occasionally chase down a few leads we had on some of that incredibly alluring mischief. After high school, we went in different directions for a couple decades, but thankfully, because of the internet, we were reunited just a few years ago, and it was as if we had never lost touch.
Steve was a great person, a lifelong friend, and from reading other friend's posts online, he turned out to be an even better man than I realized. I am truly sorry for the loss his family has had to endure over the last few weeks, and I'm sorry for everyone who knew and loved him. He leaves a big hole in all of our hearts, and he will be sorely missed. Godspeed, Burk.
