I will always remember Steve for his kindness, listening skills, wealth of knowledge and his laugh. He was a motivator. I had a great deal of respect for him and he will be missed.

Sending my deepest condolences to Lenni, Sean and Colin during this very sad time.

His knowledge, experience, and willingness to share will be missed in the forums.

I interacted with Steve via the forums. He was always willing to lend a hand or offer advice if needed. We also exchanged stories about our time in Germany and serving in the 2nd AD. Prayers for the family as they navigate the next couple of weeks. The memories of the stories he shared with y´all and the memories y´all made together will keep him with you. God Bless

Steve - Although I never realized the privilege of shaking your hand, I'm one of that silent majority who has benefited from your willingness and eagerness to share your knowledge and skills. The obvious pleasure you took in helping all who asked leaves behind an unfillable void in our 1911 Addicts community, but thankfully, your writings will assure that your memory will never fade. Rest easy friend, and look forward to shaking that hand one day. - Tom D

His treatise on the 1911 extractor, which is the heart and soul of the pistol, is unsurpassed. The time he took to assist others, the vast majority of whom he would never know, speaks volumes about the sort of man he was. If this world had more people like our "cyber friend", "Steve in Allentown", who cared enough to share his time helping others, the world would be a better place. As a fellow Southwest Texas Bobcat, I can say the sky over campus is shining a little less brightly now, but Texas will forever be a better place for having known Steve. Vaya con Dios, amigo!

Steve in Allentown was his user name....... But he was more than just a 1911 addict. He was an encyclopedia of knowledge, a veteran, a father and just a great man....... he was always quick to help wanting nothing in return...... thank you Steve for everything you´ve done.... Rest peacefully...... your family is in my thoughts and prayers

Dear Lenni and family. I´m so sadden by Steve´s passing. I worked with Steve at LVHN and fondly remember his sense of humor, love for his family, and professionalism. May many happy memories soften your grief.
