Stephen A. Ciddio, a dedicated son, brother, and friend, passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on September 25, 1950, Stephen lived a life characterized by his reserved nature, calm demeanor, and an unexpected sense of humor that brought joy to those around him.
Stephen proudly served his country as a Retired Navy Chief, displaying a commitment to duty that underscored his character. His military service instilled values of discipline and integrity, which he carried with him throughout his life.
In addition to his military career, Stephen was an avid sports enthusiast, showcasing his unwavering support for his favorite teams—the San Diego Padres in baseball and the LA Chargers in football. His passion for these sports was often mirrored in conversations filled with insights and witty remarks, highlighting his ability to engage with others despite his quiet nature. In addition to his love of sports, Stephen has a unique culinary habit- he generously added Tabasco sauce to everything, a small quirk that brought a touch of zest to his life and meals.
As a family member, Stephen is survived by his sister, Jacque and brother, Wayne (Debbie), and his nieces and nephews, Jessica and Sam, a cherished 100-year-old uncle, Eddie as well as other beloved cousins. Their memories of Stephen are filled with moments of laughter and warmth.
Stephen A. Ciddio will be remembered not only for his military service but also for the calm, caring presence he brought to his family and friends. His legacy is one of quiet strength and humor, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege to know him.
A funeral service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at a date to be determined.
