Stephen dedicated 15 years of his career to the Hilton Downtown Knoxville Hotel, where he served as the Director of Engineering. Known for his remarkable talent and passion with his hands, he brought both skill and heart to his work. A generous spirit, Stephen was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his son, Jared; his mother, Brenda Rayfield; his father, Larry Darnell (Alice); his sisters, Mechelle Rogers, Ashley, and Laura Darnell; his cousin/brother, Gavin Edwards; and many dear friends.
Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 8, 2024, at Morganton Cemetery.
Stephen's kind spirit, generosity, and compassion touched the lives of many. He was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Beverly, so sorry to hear of your loss!
We will miss Steve so much from spending time with us in Franklin.
I was blessed to have Steve's father Larry & wife as co-workers at the UT Extension Service in Williamson Co.
I will never forget Steve's act of kindness shown me by volunteering to rake my Leaves when Steve and you, Beverly, would come to Franklin!
Steve touched many with his kindness & generosity; and was always there to lend a helping hand. May the Lord comfort you and all the family at this difficult time! Bernice Bates

Stephen was a wonderful soul. Im lucky to have gotten to know how talented and kind of a person he was. I will never forget when he made and discovered how much laughs he got with his `potato gun´!! My sympathies and love and prayers to Jared and the family. God Bless and Love to all!
