My sympathy to the family. Steve was a good friend to my brother Frannie Sweet who passed away in 2021. Lets hope they are together riding their Harleys in the sky. Marie Sweet from a proud PFD family.

Steve was a great neighbor and I remember him welcoming us to the block when we moved in over 20 years ago. He took a real interest in the neighborhood and knew most people. He always had a good yarn to spin and told me that he loved being a firefighter so much that he would have done it for free! He always made sure that the snow around the fire hydrants on the block was cleared. I'd never really thought about it till then but now make a point of keeping the one in front of our house clear. Our condolences to the family on his passing. He will be missed.

Steve,

I have always been impressed with your drive and motivation, especially when you were younger pedalling that bike up to the Warwick Fire Station, and what a career you turned it into...quite the sense of humor and the best trickster in RI (ask the Fire Department) and, well, brother, you are with GOD, family and Sparky now...PLEASE kiss Mom for us. WE miss you so much.I sincerely can't believe you are gone, WE LOVE YOU
