Stephen John Dey, born 9/15/1961, was called home to be with the Lord on February 1st, 2025.
Steve was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Rose; a Loving father to his children, Lauren Perro wife of Thomas Perro, and Steve Dey, husband of Atara Dey; and a loving stepdad to Catherine Mitchell, Johnny Carroll and Matthew Carroll, husband of Cassandra Carroll. His heart was made even fuller with his 7 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. His family was one of God's greatest blessings in his life, and he cherished each and every moment.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Kathy Dey, and his sister, Linda Johnson, with whom he is now joyfully reunited with in eternal peace.
Steve was known for his strong and unwavering faith in God, his tireless work ethic, and genuine kindness toward everyone he met. He lived his life with quite integrity, always willing to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement or share his faith through both words and actions. His life was a reflection of Christ's love, and his example will continue to inspire those who knew him.
We will not mourn a death, but celebrate a life well lived as a faithful servant of the Lord. Celebration of Life Ceremony and alter call will take place March 15th, 2026, at 1:30 pm at The Gathering Community Church, 501 Wake Chapel Road, Fuquay-Varina, NC.
