WORCESTER - Stephen M. Dufault, 57, died unexpectedly Wednesday, March 13 in his home, after being stricken ill.

Steve is survived by his sister, Claudette Cawley and her husband Jim of Worcester and his stepdaughter, Holly Jones and her husband, Blair and their son, Will, of Pennington, NJ. Steve is also survived by his nephew, Eric Cawley and his wife Jackie and their children, Kelsey, Kylen, and Sheamus, his nephew, Patrick Cawley, and 3 nieces, Kathryn, Caitlin, and Emily Cawley, all of Worcester. Steve loved spending time with his grandson, Will, and was extremely proud to be his Pépére. Steve will be missed terribly by his sister and those who loved him.

Steve was born in Worcester on September 27, 1955. He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond R. and Beatrice P. (Fournier) Dufault, his wife of 21 years, Pearl (Smith) Dufault and his brother, Raymond R. Dufault, Jr. Steve attended Holy Name High School in Worcester and graduated in 1973.

Steve was an accomplished sign-maker, working for several companies and at Brigham and Women's Hospital for the past 10 years. He enjoyed all types of music, was an avid reader, and spent many hours at his hobby of watch collecting and repair. He loved to visit the Islands, including Anguilla and St. Croix.

There will be a chapel service at 1 p.m. Friday, March 22nd in Notre Dame Cemetery Chapel, 162 Webster St. in Worcester. There are no calling hours. Mulhane Home for Funerals in Millbury is assisting the family with arrangements.
