Dr. Stephen H. Feairheller

Feairheller, Dr. Stephen H. (December 10, 2025). Beloved husband of the late Joan (nee Summerill). Loving father to Lynnanne Feairheller, Kurt (Laura) Feairheller, and Philip (Deborah) Feairheller. Grandfather of 9, Kayla, Michael, Kacey, Megan, Kyle, McKenzie, Maxwell, Jolynn, and Levi. He will also be missed by his 11 great grandchildren Raelynn, Madilyn Rory, Ryker, Rogan, Ronnie Mae, Asher, Brielle, Isabel, Charlotte, and Jasper. Stephen worked for the US Department of Agriculture in Wyndmoor from the time that he graduated from MIT with a PhD in Organic Chemistry, until he retired in the 1990s. He started growing orchids when he was given his first plant, when he was at MIT. He joined both the Southeastern Pennsylvania Orchid Society and the American Orchid Society, and then became an orchid judge at the American Orchid Society Mid-Atlantic Judging Center. This hobby gave him great joy, until he sold his collection in 2008. Stephen also loved Long Beach Island, NJ. He spent summers growing up on the Island, loved surf fishing and snorkeling off of the beaches and met his wife Joan on the beach there, as well. Relatives and friends are invited to Stephen's visitation Saturday 12/20, 10 to 11am, at Craft Funeral Home, 814 Bethlehem Pike, Erdenheim, PA 19038. Hs funeral service will follow at 11am. Interment at Union Cemetery of Whitemarsh at St. Miriam.
