Stephen Flanagan Obituary

Stephen P., of Philadelphia, passed away on July 11th, 2023 at the age of 66. He was the loving father of Stephen Flanagan, Jr, and the beloved brother of Patricia Fuhrmeister (Robert), Thomas Flanagan (Ellen), Mary Bridget Mullica, Brian Flanagan, and Michael Flanagan (Kimberle). Steve will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and extended family.
Steve was born and raised in the Olney section of Philadelphia to his parents Thomas and Mary Flanagan. He attended St. Ambrose grade school and was a graduate of Cardinal Dougherty High School; class of 1974. He went on to have a long career of over 40 years with the City of Philadelphia as a Heavy Equipment Operator in the Streets Department. He enjoyed fishing and trips to Sea Isle City, NJ.
Steve was known for his sense of humor and good-hearted nature. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to Stephen's Life Celebration on Monday, July 17th, from 9 -11 AM at the John F. Givnish Funeral Home, 10975 Academy Rd., Philadelphia, PA 19154. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM. Interment services will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne, PA.
