Stephen Michael Fleck

1971 - 2023

Stephen Michael Fleck, 52, of Richmond, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. He is survived by his sister, Donna; brothers, John (Susan), Tom and Dave; nephew and niece, Jack, and Abby; and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, friends, and his puppy, Tully. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Jack, and Cass; and his brother, Matt. Born and raised in Richmond, Va., Steve graduated from Benedictine High School, and attended Bridgewater College and Virginia Commonwealth University.
Steve made a career in the Ready-Mix concrete industry further expanding his circle of friends through colleagues and customers alike.
His hobbies included: riding motorcycles, tinkering with old cars, reading, playing golf, rugby, football, Sunday brunch, and spending time with his friends and family.
His superpowers included: always finding great parking spots, being able to fall asleep anywhere, and transforming into a jungle gym for whoever's kids were around.
Steve was a great son, brother, uncle, friend and was certainly loved by all who knew him. He was selfless with his time to anyone who needed him, no matter the task or distance. Steve will be remembered for his smile, his quick wit and his caring, generous spirit. We thank Steve for sharing his life and love with all of us and creating memories that will live in our hearts forever.
Family and friends will be received at Bliley's Central – 3801 Augusta Ave., Richmond, VA 23230, Friday, November 17, 2023 from 4 – 8 p.m., with a Prayer Service beginning at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m., Saturday, November 18th at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 823 Cathedral Pl, Richmond, VA 23220. Interment will follow Mass in Mount Calvary Cemetery.
