Stephen West Fraser, a beloved friend, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, at Cedar Creek Assisted Living, following a brief battle with cancer. He was 79 years old.
Steve was born in Tampa, Florida, and later moved to Texas. Steve was an Army veteran and proudly fought in the Vietnam War. A proud graduate of Del Mar College in 1999, he earned his degree as a Registered Nurse. For many years, Steve worked for the state of Texas as a psychiatric nurse, dedicating his career to helping those in need with compassion, care, and understanding.
Steve was known for his kindness, unwavering support, and positive outlook on life. He had a big heart and always offered words of encouragement to those around him. His infectious spirit and genuine warmth left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
During his time at Cedar Creek Assisted Living, Steve enjoyed participating in activities, particularly playing games with the ladies, and always brought a sense of joy to those around him. His playful nature and friendly demeanor will be missed by all who knew him.
Steve had a great appreciation for the staff at Cedar Creek Assisted Living. Thank you for the great care and compassion given to him during his final days.
Rest in peace, Steve. Your kindness, humor, and strength will never be forgotten

I had the pleasure of knowing stephen for 3 years. He became very dear to me. He will be greatly missed. One of his favorite things to do was play cards with all the ladies at Cedar Creek. One of the my favorite things I liked to do with Stephen, was painting. He always put his own spin on what we were doing and it always turned out fabulous. His kindness and gentleness will always be remember.
