Stephen was one of my closest friends when I arrived at VFCC in 1984. He welcomed me and shared many helpful hints to maximize my college experience. I am blessed to have enjoyed friendship with him. May God bless this wonderful family. Strphen was a true ambassador for Jesus.

Pastor Steve served as pastor at East End Assembly of God on Evaline St. when I went there. He was a dedicated pastor to his church & did many things for the people. I remember he talked with each one of us individually about our born again experience- our testimonies. That was a great idea to see how each person was drawn by the Lord. Joe Durso & I wanted to have prayer meetings at my home- Pastor Steve gave the go ahead & even made up door knockers for me to hang on my neighbors' doors inviting them to come or drop off prayer requests. One Christmas season, he had us make small bags of cookies, the candy cane meaning tract, etc. to distribute to the neighbors' homes on Evaline St. & nearby streets. He had a heart to reach out to people with the gospel. The children loved him & Sophia- I'll try to include a photo of that. To Sophia & family , my deepest sympathies & praying for you all the " peace that surpasses understanding".

May our Lord give comfort and peace to the family. He was an anointed servant of God. Once when I needed direction, God gave him wisdom and discernment on what to tell me.

So so sad to hear of Pastor Steve's sudden passing. He was a great man and minister, had fun personality and was always friendly to my family, my sister, our dad, and me at Central Assembly when he pastored there.
My deepest sympathy to Sophia and her family and her parents. Holding them up in prayer.

I will be forever grateful for the privilege of knowing Steve. He had the insight to see past an angry and hurt man and then challenge him to become a man of God and follow His calling in your life. Today I am a better man for knowing him and following God´s calling as a Clinical Counselor. I know I will see him again someday. Love you brother. Chuck Cribben

What a good man Steve was! He was so very kind to me and my family when our son passed away. He allowed us to hold the funeral service and meal at the church with no expense to us. I have great respect for Steve and look forward to seeing him again someday soon. Prayers for Sophia, kids and family. They are precious too! Pastor Mike Singo
