Stephen Mark Harris (Mark), age 64, of Reidsville, North Carolina, went home to be with His Lord and Savior on February 17th, 2026 at Annie Penn Hospital surrounded by family, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mark fought with unwavering courage and grace. He lived a life marked by compassion, kindness, and deep devotion to his family.
He was born on Sunday, January 21st, 1962, in Reidsville, NC. A son to Dewey Harris (Pete) and the late Shirley Williams Harris.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of 37 years in April, Lisa Sharp Harris, who beautifully cared for him until his last breath. Mark was a proud father to his two children, Stephen Harris (Brittany) and Shannon Harris (Chace). He was the affectionate Pawpaw to Mia and Saylor. Mark was a beloved brother to Sherry Layne (Caleb), Scott Harris (Alisa), loving brother-in-law to Leslie Sharp Lewis (Phillip), and son-in-law to Walter Sharp. He was also the fun-loving uncle to nieces and nephews Brandy Law (Jeff), Brooke Ross (Will), Brendon Harris, Mason Harris, Reagan Harris, Emily Lewis, Zachary Lewis, Abigail Lewis, and Caroline Lewis, along with many great-nieces and nephews. Mark had a heart of gold and was always willing to help; however he could. To know Mark was to love Mark.
Mark graduated from Reidsville High School and began his career at Unifi, where he would spend the next 44 years. He built life-long friendships there.
He found great joy in life’s simple treasures. He loved spending time on the golf course from a young age. He was a natural and won several tournaments including a Club Championship at Monoroeton Golf Course. He also loved music, especially his favorite band, Grand Funk Railroad. He and Lisa went to several of their concerts and became friends with the lead singer and his wife. Along with his love for golf and music, he was a devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he proudly cheered his team on and cherished memories of seeing them play in Pittsburgh with his family.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to all who supported Mark during his illness.
