My condolences for the man the myth and legacy of the theorists family . As he made appearances on star trek tng, big bang theory. His professionalism was from his very best to motivate himself to open the theories of the unknown black hole. I never had the opportunity to ask him specifically if he could explain to me how the light travels through the black hole and does any object that travels through the black hole gets torn apart. Does the black holes gravity pull apart objects by their own gravity. Does black holes have unstable gravity or its own gravitational force. His mind is a sophisticated mind and will not ever be forgotten.

I have never met this man in my life, and I have not known about him for 24 hours yet, but he has impacted me and gave me inspiration to not let life's obstacles get in the way. Stephen Hawking was a great man and he wasn't someone to just give up and let people bring him down. I just got to know about you in the past 2 years on The 6 Part Series that Stephen Hawking had on BBC and how amazing he is. The movie The Theory of Everything was like I've known him my entire life. I am betting that in Heaven Stephen is taking that trip into space with Galileo , Issac Newton and other famous people even though he wasn't able to take his space flight here on earth. Stephen Hawking is definitely one of the people I want to meet in Heaven I know he is there with God now

Reading a brief history of time at 15 led to my degree, Hawking was inspiring funny and human he was the best of us. I'm still fascinated with physics because he made it accessible to a poor working class lad, an it helped me succeed.

I wish I had met him if only to have thanked him.

Future generations will build upon his work but it may take several generations to another mind as pure.

What ever awaits after the transition of death it is now significantly improved by Hawking's arrival. We however are diminished by his absence.

Rest in peace, one of the greatest and most influential men to bless humanity. You will be remembered for generations to come, and I wish nothing but the best to everyone who reads this, to your family, and to everyòne whose lives you have touched.

Stephen Hawking was a legendary human being and research scientist. He achieved highest of accolades beating his disability. One of his great achievements was to explain complex scientific concepts to ordinary people. His books and papers are a testimony to it. May his soul rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to hear that Professor Hawking had passed way. Stephen Hawking is the one person on this planet I admire and respect the most.
Last year I was privileged to have attended Professor Stephen Hawking's 75th birthday symposium and sat directly behind him. It was a very humbling experience and really bought it home to me how much this man had to endure on a daily basis.
The genuine love and attention that was shown him by his family and carers was nothing short of amazing, but watching this, just a few feet in front of me, made me realize that my personal wish that he continue to inspire and encourage us from the confines of his chair for many years to come, was probably a selfish one. So today a prefer to believe that a brilliant and beautiful soul has been released from the burdens of a broken body to roam the stars. He has left us with a legacy and he is, and will remain, my number one hero.

Thank you for making me realize I am smarter than I previously thought...A Brief History of Time presented on Nova (I believe), really was my game-changer! A million thanks!

If only that one lesson could imbed itself into the minds of every human I can only imagine how many wars and therefore deaths could be avoided. I felt very driven to visit Cambridge in a Christmas eve, walked quite a bit to reach new Cavendish, from Newton's (old) Math School by the punting side, across from which you stayed in your previous residence, an small door thru which you commuted on the wall, a 92 year old lady surprised me saying that that she had actually attended every single lecture of yours at the university, while she was walking to get the last charismas present for her granddaughter,
I felt even more spontaneous, and driven to visit and find out the new Cavendish, and a post doc researcher was the only person I found in a lab who pointed out to me, where you sit, upstairs, at the Sir Isaac Newton School of Mathematical Science, and the glass window.
He noted you had left for Christmas Eve, and whether he should let you know if I were a student of yours who came to see you in a Christmas Eve,
Nonetheless, I felt very compelled to pay a tribute on the day there.

I feel, we may leave but our particles with be around us, so will yours be, energizing us, inspiring...

I first noticed Stephen on the Sunday Morning program when he published his New York Times Best Seller. Inspiring. I had a relative die slowly over 10 years with the same disorder. Stephen was a miracle. He taught us a determination can change your life and slow the progression of a deadly disease. Pest in Peace.

I feel blessed to have been on the earth while you were here and a part of history just being able to sign this guest book. The world loves you and will remember you always. I always liked Einstein theories and I then learned about Stephen's contributions. I saw PBS documentary in USA-Michigan. He has paved the way for me, that I can overcome my own obstacles and for others as well.

I Loved attending your lecture at the Arie Crowne Theatre in Chicago. I read all your books then donated them to the local library. I love it when your voice synthesiser says the word "universe". I saw and bought the biography movie.

Goodbye Steve and thanks for discovering Hawking Radiation proving that black holes evaporate and information is not lost forever.

Such a brilliant mind. I read A Brief History of Time when I was in high school and it rocked my world. Ever since , I've followed his career and whatever else I could find to read by and about him. When he appeared on Star Trek, my favorite show...., I was the happiest kid. I'm going to have to get over the fact that his earthly mind is no longer cranking on the theory of everything. I hope wherever he is now, he can see how the entire universe all fits together in an elegant and perhaps simple Theory of Everything.
