Stephen Michael Holloway

I was one of two roommates with Steve at 1960 National Student Council Convention in Janesville, WI. Had a great week together and quickly realized that he would have a great life ahead of him. Steve was one of the best athletes to play at Elkin High School I was fourteen when I saw Steve hit the longest home runs I had ever seen. My brother Gene and Steve were team mates on the 1960 high school baseball team that played for the state championship. I was a few years younger,but Steve was always very kind and took time to talk with me I guess you could say he was my hero! Thanks for all you did. God Bless your family. A fellow Gideon Ken Harris

Steve was a wonderful neighbor and friend. He cared about our community and got to know many neighbors. He loved to golf and walk his dogs. He will be sorely missed.

Steve, a friend and Duke teammate. A "good" person is highest compliment that one can say about any individual. He was pleasant, loving and a good athlete. If you knew him, you had a friend for life. He will be missed but not forgotten. Diane, your grief is shared by many but memories last forever.
